Community in Motion

These moments tell the story.

Every photo, every video, every gathering reflects the power of community-led change. This is what happens when people refuse to let incarceration define the future.

Iftar Behind the Walls: A Night of Faith, Dignity, and Community

Iftar Behind the Walls is a sacred gathering rooted in faith, dignity, and community. Each year, The Elevation Project enters the jails to break fast with incarcerated Muslim men and women during Ramadan — creating a moment of humanity in a place too often defined by isolation.

Through this initiative, we provide prayer rugs, Qurans, and a nourishing meal to those observing Ramadan behind the walls. As support grows, so does our reach — allowing us to expand into more facilities and serve more people with care, respect, and compassion.

This is more than a meal.
It’s a reminder that no one is forgotten.
